Lastminute.com appoints new UK managing director
After 11 months as B2C managing director for lastminute.com France, Patrick Hoffstetter has accepted the role of lastminute.com UK & Ireland B2C MD, starting July 2009.
Following the departure of UK B2C MD John Bevan in October 2008, Group B2C MD Simon Thompson has led lastminute.com UK business on an interim basis. After a rigorous internal and external search for a suitable UK leader, Patrick proved the ideal candidate with his evident wealth of commercial wisdom, strategic leadership and technical expertise.
Lastminute.com Group MD, Simon Thompson, said; “Patrick and I have worked extremely closely together over the past 11 months. He has been a pivotal figure in building the French business during this time and I am thrilled that he has accepted the challenge of leading our UK business to even greater heights.”
A recruitment drive is now underway, looking for a dedicated B2C leader to transition lastminute.com France.
In the interim, Patrick will keep leadership responsibility for France until a full-time replacement is appointed by autumn this year.
