Meta search website Travelsupermarket.com has added a facility to compare package holiday prices as it looks to target the massive all-inclusive market.

Three of the four so-called Big Four tour operators – Thomas Cook, First Choice and MyTravel – have signed up to the new service, with a further eight providers also taking part.

The development signals yet another move in the Meta search market to offer a wider range of comparison options to users.

Travelsupermarket claims the service is the first package holiday browsing system created by a Meta search site, although Kelkoo has been running a similar function since 2003.

General manager Chris Nixon said: “By just entering dates and destinations customers can view all of the deals from all of the providers, in order of price, making it perfect for those who do not want to self package and just want to see all of the best deals on the one site.

“We hope this new addition to the site will give even first time users the confidence to compare the best deal out there.”

The remaining eight providers include Going Places, AirTours, Travelcare, Cosmos, Virgin Holidays and Opodo.
