British Airways and TripAdvisor have teamed up to run reviews of hotel properties on the airline’s dedicated holiday website.

The 12-month trial was given a low-key introduction by British Airways in December last year.

The programme currently features reviews for hotels contracted by BA Holidays on three long haul and three short haul routes.

The white label provided by TripAdvisor allows users on baholidays.com to see reviews for the hotels for the six routes and is positioned against existing destination content.

It works in a similar way to the system provided to lastminute.com and opens a further pop-up window so users can click through to the main TripAdvisor page of each hotel to reach more reviews.

BA Holidays said the trial will be marketed more widely in the coming months but around 15% of users landing on the route destination pages are currently clicking on the reviews.

The TripAdvisor trial with BA emerged at the same time as Keith Prowse was unveiled as a while label partner for the main ba.com website.

The entertainment and ticket specialist is providing a full system on ba.com’s Travel Extras section for theatre, concert and sport products.

Keith Prowse will supply tickets primarily for UK events, but also for Broadway shows in New York and other major attractions at some of BA destinations.
