MyWorkLight is pushing ahead with plans for a range of applications for the business travel sector.

The US-based company specialises in customised applications, widgets and RSS Feeds that can sit on a user’s desktop, social networking profile page, personalised search engine homepage or mobile phone.

The applications provide travellers with access to airline and hotel reservations, travel details and other areas such as loyalty points without having to log onto a website.

Vice president of marketing and product strategy David Lavenda said the company was developing ‘next generation’ tools.

He said it was already working with a travel company, which also specialises in system integration.

MyWorkLight is also looking to work with partners who can develop applications that will sit on its platform.

The company has been shortlisted for an Innovation of the Year award to be announced at the US Travel Association TravelCom event at the end of this month.
