Fledgling UK travel site EasyVoyage has claimed it is on target to become one of the top five operations in the UK after securing 300,000 unique users a month.

The business was unveiled in the UK in December 2008 after successful launches in Italy and Spain since being founded in France in 2000.

Bosses this week have claimed the UK site has also secured a base of 800,000 subscribers to its twice-weekly newsletter.

The UK audience is currently around 5% of the company’s overall traffic across Europe, with the French site grabbing over half of the total 5.7 million unique users.

EasyVoyage UK is hoping for around one million unique users and two million newsletter subscribers in the UK by the end of 2009.

Editor in chief Laurent Serfaty said: “The secret of its success is the site’s unique combination of unbiased editorial content and search engine capability across holiday packages, hotels, flights and car rentals.”

A German site is scheduled for launch in September 2009.
