User-generated videos specialist HotelVideoReviews plans to unveil a partnership program for online travel agencies at ITB 2009 in Berlin.
Online retailers will be able to incorporate the consumer generated video reviews into their websites via a white-label solution, which gathers the video reviews from the OTA’s travellers.
HVR publishes the videos on the OTA’s website as well as on its own consumer travel portal, tripr.tv.
Jan Kooman, chief executive of HVR said: “Research shows 78% of hotel bookers already use textual reviews when making travel related decisions. However, 42% find video most trustworthy. Adding video content on a hotel booking page increases conversions up to 200%.”
Participating retailers will also receive leads from HVR’s traffic network and WhereIveBeen has been signed up as the launching traffic network party.
HVR is already building online travel and distribution partnerships and claims companies including EasyToBook and Gekko are also among initial partners.
