Trip Planner will work in the same way as other dynamic packaging systems but will also scan supplier websites and online travel agents.
AOL members will be able to enter requirements for flights, hotels and car hire. Results will be returned from more than 50 travel sites – including Ebookers, Opodo, British Airways and Avis – and displayed by price, type or advertiser.
Trip Planner is the latest in a string of products developed for AOL UK since it partnered with Kelkoo owner Yahoo! last year to provide travel products.
Yahoo! Travel general manager Tim Frankcom said: “Our new travel service delivers the next stage in travel search by reducing the time it takes to find and create the perfect holiday package.”
The addition of a dynamic packaging tool comes during what is a strategic move by AOL UK this year to beef up its travel section. February saw the addition of a luxury holiday section, following a deal struck with long haul operator Kuoni.
AOL head of travel and lifestyle Heather Sommerville said: “Using AOL’s new travel search tool, members can now find exactly what they’re looking for with a click of a button.”
