Dosomethingdifferent.com is now the first in the trade sector to offer a fully bookable XML service to partnering travel agencies and tour operators.

This new service enables automated, cross selling prompts for agency/operator systems who are making holiday/flight/hotel bookings, with suggested experiences that are available within dosomethingdifferent.com’s worldwide portfolio.

Trade partners are then able to connect to and access the portfolio in one of two ways:

Partners can include the product in their own front or back office environments, and then either have agents log onto the dosomethingdifferent.com trade booking site to make the bookings, or deep link customers into a co-branded site, hosted by dosomethingdifferent.com.

Alternatively, partners with their own bookable websites, are able to integrate the dosomethingdifferent.com portfolio fully into their own systems, enabling experiences to be sold at the same time the holiday is being booked, within their own shopping basket.

The service supports full end to end transaction processing.

Ian Coyle, commercial director, says: “We are thrilled to be the first in the trade sector to be able to offer our  partners this API service, which will not only helps eliminate the reliance on human prompt, but will also assist partners to boost their overall commission earnings too.”

Dosomethingdifferent.com’s portfolio is currently made up of over 1,500 experiences worldwide, with the aim to double this by the end of 2009.
