Haven Holidays, the UK’s leading holiday park operator, acknowledges that the web is now their main revenue channel and predicts they will see further percentage increases of holidays booked online in 2009.

Alison Dunn, head of e-eommerce, explained: “Haven has invested £41 million on enhancements to our holiday parks for 2009. Our new website design reflects this investment and brings all the different elements of a Haven Holiday to life online.

“The new website features new video footage to give customers a real feel of what is available on the Parks, as well as providing an efficient and user-friendly way of booking their holiday online.

In spite of all the economic problems, demand for UK holidays is growing amongst a wider audience and we are confident that the new site will appeal to this expanding customer base, as well as to our existing customers. To achieve our objectives, we chose to work with Nucleus, a digital consultancy with a wealth of travel industry experience. They were the natural choice to take our site to the next level.”

Peter Matthews, Nucleus’ managing director, added: “Our years of experience in designing and building travel sites, especially in Tridion, Bourne Leisure’s enterprise CMS platform, enabled us to deliver a vibrant, compelling online user experience for Haven, on schedule and on budget.”
