A long-awaited new venture from Technorati founder David Sifry launches this week and Leger Holidays, the UK’s biggest provider of European coach holidays, is the first company in Europe to sign up.

Offbeatguides.com is a new service which offers users individually customised travel guides to more than 30,000 worldwide destinations, produced specifically for their trip – major airlines and Leger are among the first companies worldwide to sign up to the service.

The addition of the new service for Leger’s customers keeps the tour operator at the forefront of technological innovation and comes hot on the heels of last week’s relaunch of the company’s new website.

Michael Rhodes, e-commerce manager for Leger Holidays, said: “We are constantly looking for new services and innovation that make it easier for our customers to experience the best from escorted travel worldwide.

“Giving our customers the option of downloading bespoke travel guides on our site, specific to the destinations they are visiting on their Leger trip, is a great enhancement to our product offer and customer-focussed ethos.

“David Sifry is a serial entrepreneur at the forefront of online innovation and we expect Offbeatguides to set a new benchmark in bespoke travel guides – as such, we’re delighted to be the first company in Europe to sign up.”
