EasyJet announces partnership with Tripadvisor
EasyJet, the UK’s largest airline, today announced a pan-European partnership with tRipAdvisor, which will see independent hotel reviews from the world’s largest travel community featured on the easyjethotels.com website.
TripAdvisor hotel ratings, reviews and photos are now displayed on both hotel search results and description pages on easyJetHotels.com.
Reviews on the easyJetHotels site, which is powered by Hotelopia, will be available in English, French, Spanish, Italian and German.
A ‘write a review’ button will also invite users to submit their own content to TripAdvisor’s more than 20 million candid reviews and opinions.
Independent studies have highlighted significant benefits of adding unbiased user-generated reviews, for consumers and businesses alike. In a survey of 360 e-commerce companies, sites that added user reviews reported very positive results:
* 56% lifted conversion
* 77% raised traffic
* 42% increased the average shopping basket
Bill McKimm, easyJet’s head of ancillary revenue, said: “EasyJetHotels currently offers a huge range of over 15,000 hotels throughout Europe from 2* to 5* with fantastic prices and availability.
“This coupled with TripAdvisor content means easyJet customers can be safe in the knowledge they are getting the very best deal for their hotel stay.”
Nathan Clapton, TripAdvisor’s senior director of brand distribution, added: “Having immediate access to TripAdvisor reviews and opinions will help empower easyJetHotels customers, enabling them to make more informed decisions and ensure they’re getting genuine value.”
