A new website claiming to transform the way consumers buy travel products online has been launched in the UK with a promise to preserve the “spirit of the internet’s origins”.

Customerking.com will allow users to request a flight, package holiday, car hire, hotel or villa and then the system will notify them if one its registered sellers has a match for that particular product.

The site is targeting small to medium sized travel providers as it believes existing shopping portals skew the online ranking of larger and more dominant companies with better buying power.

Other products featured on the site include cars, home entertainment goods and tickets for events.

“Customerking enables sellers to reach reach buyers with no advertising costs and view potential buyers that they otherwise may not reach,” the company said.

“They benefit from knowing exactly what buyers are looking for and can therefore offer the best deals and prices.

Users will be able to set a time limit for a return on the product query, with alerts sent via text message or email.
