Ocean Holidays has revamped its websites to incorporate the same booking engine as sister brand Beat The Brochure.

The company operates Ocean USA, Ocean Florida and newly launched Ocean Ski and Ocean Cruise.

All of the websites now run on the Beat The Brochure platform apart from the cruise service, which has been outsourced to Traveltek because of its existing feeds from suppliers.

There are now plans for some pay-per-click advertising for the ski site and potentially some Teletext advertising. Affiliate marketing is also being considered.

Ocean Holidays is also planning an offline advertising campaign for its main Ocean Florida brand.

The company has seen a massive spike in interest since the collapse of Travel City Direct, part of the XL Group.

Ocean Holidays director Harry Hastings said the company was opening an office in Blackpool where many of the Travel City Direct staff were based.

He also hinted at radio and television as well as traditional press advertising for the Florida offering in January.

“We’re looking to work our own databases and getting ready for 2009 and making sure we have a clear strategy. We’re very much looking at radio and television and trying to find a new audience out there who don’t know who we are.”
