High-end online travel agent Luxury Explorer has developed a website “notebook” to allow users to store information during the research process of booking a trip.

The Travel Notes system acts a database for registered users to gather details of hotels, cruises, trains, yachts and villas, creating a shortlist of options before making the final transaction.

Users can also add their own comments about a particular part of a holiday.

The introduction of the system, which is only available to the site’s personal members, is the latest in a string of technological innovations.

In January this year the site introduced RSS feeds and recently launched a satellite map-based browsing system to allow users to locate each of the 150 hotels in the Luxury Travel database.

Luxury Explorer founder and chairman, Peter Matthews, said: “Luxury Explorer’s new Travel Notes service is better than any bookmark on your browser, because you can safely save information on the world’s best hotels along with your own comments and revisit them at any time.”
