Placestostay.com extends reach with new deals
Accommodation listed with Placestostay.com is to be supplied to five UK travel agencies following an agreement with travel technology firm Goquo.com.
The five agencies – Real Choice Travel, Holiday Express, Travelup, HPS Hotel Reservations and Lee’s Travel Club – will have access to the FEXCO AllTravel-owned Placestostay.com portfolio of 25,000 hotels.
The deal is the latest move by FEXCO, following its acquisition of Placestostay.com in September 2005, to increase the website’s availability to the trade.
FEXCO signed an “inventory integration” deal with Goquo.com-owner Ramedian ahead of the acquisition last summer.
FEXCO AllTravel’s head of distribution and business development, Tim Wright, said: “Inventory agreements with technology partners are an important and valuable way for Placestostay.com to increase its penetration of the UK trade market.
“This major marketing route gets us in the door with many more agency businesses, while technology partners are able to offer richer content and therefore opportunity.”
Real Choice Travel operates the Cheapeticket.co.uk and Royalatlantic.co.uk websites.
