Flight search specialist Skyscanner is providing third party websites with its functionality through a range of free solutions, which they can integrate into their websites.

The Skyscanner Maps Tool API is the first to be unveiled and enables developers to embed in their own sites and display Skyscanner flight route information.

According to the company’s director of business development Barry Smith the solution has been developed in response to demand from businesses with the travel industry such as resorts, hotels and tourism organisations.

The tool is configurable so developers can show a fixed departure point, fixed destination point, fixed departure and destination, or an ‘anywhere to anywhere’ open search. They can also select their preferred language from a choice of 20, including Spanish, Japanese and Russian.

The new Maps Tool API can be downloaded from the Skyscanner website.
