Press release – 27 September 2008 – Advantage Travel Centres

Advantage Travel Centres has announced that it expects to launch a new consumer website in the next month as part of its aggressive web marketing strategy.

The upgrading of the consortiums website advantage4travel.com will also mean a flexible white label product will be offered to all members offering the opportunity for independent agents to have more of a presence on the web.

Colin O’Neill, sales and marketing director at Advantage Travel Centres, said: “It goes without saying that independent travel agents are competing with the web and therefore want to also have the ability to sell holidays and promote themselves on the internet.

“We have invested in upgrading our own website in order that Advantage gets closer to the consumer through the web but also will offer our members the chance to plug in to our offering in a way that fits best with their business.”

The new website will allow consumers to book flights, hotels, holidays and holiday extras but will also link with social websites such as Facebook and Youtube and allow lifestyle brands, tourist boards and directory sites to promote products and link through the site.

O’Neill continued: “Building an informative, easy to use website opens a plethora of opportunities not only for our members but also business partners.

“From promotions online, to advice and useful links our aim is for the website to offer a one-stop shop for everything needed by the internet user when it comes to travel.”
