Cruises on 23 rivers worldwide are now available to book at 1st4rivercruising.com, a new site from 1st4cruising.com one of the UK’s leading cruise specialists.

More than 500 cruises are available ranging from small intimate vessels on lesser-known rivers such as the Volga-Baltic Waterway in Russia, to larger ships on popular rivers including the Danube, the Rhine and the Yangtze.

Commercial director John Fair said: “River cruises have been steadily gaining in popularity over the past few years as people look for a good value, comfortable and eco-friendly means of seeing multiple countries in one trip.

“River cruise ships are able to get into small towns along the banks of the river thanks to their size, giving customers the chance to see the real culture of the ports of call. This is a very different type of cruising when compared to ocean cruise holidays.

“As an independent agent we are able to offer an unbiased approach to selecting the perfect river cruise; and as a member of the ‘top agents’ clubs for the leading river cruise lines we often receive offers in advance, which means our customers will be among the first to hear about them.”
