Online travel and leisure retailer lastminute.com announces the appointment of Abbie Cranage to the position of head of marketing.

She joins the business on 25 September replacing Fleur Studd who is returning to Australia.

Boasting a successful eight year marketing career, Cranage joins the lastminute.com group from online dating website match.com where she was marketing director.

Cranage will assume responsibilities for a team of seven and will report into UK marketing director Julie Davidson, who joined the business on 3 March.

Abbie Cranage will be responsible for the strategic planning, budgeting and delivery of all consumer marketing activity across travel and lifestyle categories for lastminute.com to achieve annual traffic, TTV and margin targets as well as lastminute.com brand objectives.

She will develop a marketing plan to reignite the lastminute.com’s positioning and personality, focusing on innovative use of communication channels to drive brand equity, engagement and business growth, as lasminute.com celebrates its tenth birthday.

Davidson said: “ We are sad to see Fleur Studd go back to Australia but delighted to welcome Abbie Cranage on board. Abbie has strong online and offline marketing experience and will be a great asset to the marketing team.“
