Direct Ferries claims to be is the first European agent to work with the Gulf state’s National Ferries Company, which offers services between numerous destinations on the Omani coast.

The high speed ferry company offers travellers a range of options from a weekly six-hour crossing from Khasab in the north of the country to the capital Muscat to the more frequent Shannah to Masirah crossing which takes just one hour and operates 24 return-round trips a week.

Other crossings are from Shinas to Dibba, Dibba to Khasab, Dibba to Lima, Khasab to Shinas and Lima to Shinas.

The Direct Ferries website is now available in Arabic at ar.directferries.com.

Direct Ferries’ chief executive, Matt Davies, said: “This is an important development in the Middle East for us.
