A cloud streaming in the skies service will be available on selected Royal Brunei Airlines regional routes in Asia using new Airbus A320s.

Users need to download an app via Apple Store and Google Play store from provider RB Impian prior to boarding their flight.

Streaming is activated in the air and passengers will be able to access a wider variety of movies, TV shows and music from their own mobile devices.

The airline’s chief executive Karam Chand said: “This initiative allows us to provide our passengers with an additional in-flight entertainment option.

“This complimentary service allows our passengers to use their devices and headsets to stream and enjoy entertainment programmes of their choice and on demand.

“Royal Brunei strives to provide innovative and personalised service to our passengers.

“It is a win-win for our customers, Royal Brunei and our environment from lesser carbon emissions as a result of a lighter aircraft and lesser fuel burn.”
