Travel experiences specialist Isango is to release a version for the French market by the end of the year.

The release will come hot on the heels of its latest offering, a specialist site for the German market, which has just gone live on isango.de.

“Since we launched in English we have received a steady stream of enquiries from the German market but we did not want to launch something until we felt confident we had the right solution. The market is strong, very mature, people are used to booking online and the mindset is evolving,” said Isango European vice president, Daniele Beccari.

He also said a third country launch had not yet been confirmed but that a decision would be made by year-end.

“Every country is so specific and there is no one solution for everything. There are local regulations, local demand for specific destinations and product and the language aspect.”

He added that markets such as Japan were interesting because while it is currently dominated by package holidays, attitudes are changing.

Beccari also said the strategy to grow the German site was the same as that of the UK service with an initial plan to grow the business to consumer side first followed by partner distribution deals.

“We already have deals and talks ongoing and one which is very hot. We have started work for launch by the end of September.”

He declined to name the company but confirmed it was a low-cost carrier.
