In a bid to improve customer experience eDreams Odigeo has launched Travelport-owned Mobile Travel Technologies’ (MTT) mobile messaging technology.

In a bid to improve customer experience eDreams Odigeo has launched Travelport-owned Mobile Travel Technologies’ (MTT) mobile messaging technology.

The online travel firm has integrated MTT’s intelligent push engine, MTT Engage, within its Android and iOS apps across multiple brands, to engage and connect with travellers at the right time in their journey.

The two companies have worked together over recent months towards the launch, which it is hoped will boost mobile engagement, mobile revenues and improve the overall travel experience for customers.

MTT Engage has been integrated across three of eDreams ODIGEO’s premier travel brands – eDreams, Go Voyages and Opodo.

The push messaging tool allows airlines and travel companies to send relevant and personalised notifications, alerts and mobile offers, in multiple languages, to better engage with customers.

EDreams ODIGEO will manage end-to-end push campaigns personalised to travellers based on their profile, their location and their stage of travel allowing them to connect with their travellers in a relevant way, throughout their journey.

Proactive, real-time notifications will keep travellers informed about their individual travel schedule, external events and travel disruptions or delays.

EDreams ODIGEO will also use MTT Engage to present timely ancillary offers that can lead to a higher mobile sale conversion rate.

EDreams ODIGEO has also launched a free notifications feature and in-app travel guides, two new features intended to enhance the end-to-end travel experience.

Travellers will be notified of any flight delays, cancellations and diversions as well as gate announcements and baggage claim areas.

The service is available free on Android and iOS mobile devices to all customers who have booked a trip with eDreams, Opodo or Go Voyages, and have logged into the app.

The updated mobile apps will also feature complimentary travel guides once customers have booked their flights, including essential city information, restaurants, attractions, bars and nightlife, as well as romantic ideas and travel tips.
