Expedia is marking its official 20th birthday today with celebrations in its offices including its London base near Angel in north London.

Along with the birthday party the London teams are also running a collection for, CalAid, a non-profit organisation that helps displaced individuals in the Calais refugee camps

Now a collection of global brands, including Hotels.com, Hotwire, Travelocity, eBookers, Trivago and the recently bought HomeAway, Expedia was originally founded as a division of Microsoft in 1996.

In a Vimeo video, a series of Expedia senior executives and original founders explain what the company has achieved in the last two decades and where its future lies.
