Flybe has implemented Amadeus Airline Ancillary Services to allow agents to book more than just fares with the regional airline.
The initiative makes it possible to add chargeable bags through the Amadeus distribution channel.
This enables agents to book additional services requested by clients within an automated booking flow.
Flybe is the 73rd carrier to implement the solution for which 109 airlines have signed up to.
Amadeus airline distribution strategic marketing director, Gianni Pisanello, said: “We are pleased to support Flybe’s merchandising strategy by increasing the exposure and sales opportunities of the airline’s ancillary services through the world’s largest and most diverse travel community.
“Flybe now has the tools to maximise sales in our distribution channel and partner with travel agents by offering services that add value to the traveller’s journey.”
