Travelzoo is celebrating scooping the Global Brand award at PR Week’s Global Awards this week.

The coordination of global campaigns at Travelzoo is run by Louise Hodges, who was at Thursday night’s event to accept the award.

The company’s achievement across multiple markets and its raising brand awareness through issues-based communications was highlighted.

The brand’s PR work over the past year includes a campaign over the cost of travel during school holidays called “The Parent Trap”, and addressing global concerns over safety following recent terror attacks and the refugee crisis in Europe.

President of Travelzoo Europe, Richard Singer, said: “We are delighted to have received this prestigious award in recognition for our work.

“Travelzoo’s public relations campaigns have focused on the biggest issues facing travel today.

“Travelzoo has been at the centre of the biggest global stories in world media, and this is a fantastic achievement for our public relations team.”
