Wow Air seeks Snapchat travel correspondents

Four social media-savvy individuals are being sought by Icelandic budget carrier Wow Air to become its travel correspondents for the summer using Snapchat.

Four social media-savvy individuals are being sought by Icelandic budget carrier Wow Air to become its travel correspondents for the summer using Snapchat.

They will be required to travel between any of the airline’s 28 destinations and share their experience with its followers on Snapchat and other social media channels.

A total of 16 trips are planned, with each ‘SnapTraveler’ visiting four destinations over the course of three months.

The airline is looking for people who are “creative, fun and engaging” to share their journey across the world.

All expenses will be paid to the four SnapTravelers, including flights, hotels, activities and living costs.

Budding travellers must publish a creative Snap Story, no more than two minutes long, and upload it to snaptraveler.wowair.com to be considered.

A spokesman for the airline said: “For those with serious wanderlust, ambition and a flair for the creative, Wow Air’s SnapTraveler programme presents an amazing opportunity to not only make some priceless memories across the world, but gain social media exposure and experience as a pioneering digital travel correspondent.

“We’re very excited to review the submissions and giving our four lucky SnapTravelers a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
