A WhatsApp service to answer guest queries has been established by a hotel in Malta.
By using a pre-allocated WhatsApp number, guests can contact the hotel directly from anywhere on the island, and for any service they require during their stay.
The initiative by the Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay follows a ‘Twitter by the pool’ service allowing guests to tweet food and drink orders through to the pool bar and restaurant by quoting their umbrella number.
Their order is then delivered without them having to get off their sunbed.
General manager, Stuart Chappell, said: “We do not simply provide a given service to the best of our ability, but we also want to ensure that our guests are able to use that service with the least effort and using a media that they are familiar with.”
