Local experiences concierge start-up Musement has opened a new office in Barcelona to support its expansion in the Spanish market.

The firm has appointed Letizia Stok, formerly of Costa Cruises, Bus Turistic, Keytel and Booking.com, as country Manager for Spain.

The firm claims to be seeing year-on-year growth of 250% in the Spanish region.

Stok said: “Musement is experiencing phenomenal growth around the world and with the opening of the Spanish office we can concentrate on further developing our business in a market that is already proving a huge success for us.

“Having a growing presence on the ground in Spain will help us to grow partnerships with local travel agencies and digital publishers, as well as increasing our brand recognition among Spanish users.

“Our goal is to become the number one partner for all the major tours, activities and events in the region who will be able to take advantage of our growing database of experiential travellers keen to book their activities via our app.”

It plans to add over ten new Spanish cities in the coming months including Lanzarote, Baleari, Cadice, Almeria, Santander, Pamplona and Santiago alongside a host of new attractions and local hidden gems.

Claudio Bellinzona, co-founder and chief operating officer of Musement, said: “We are absolutely delighted to open our office in the vibrant city of Barcelona.

“We are confident that the increasingly high demands of Spanish travellers worldwide will be met and exceeded with our app, bringing a world first, five star concierge service to travellers from all walks of life.”
