AirAsia, Tune Money and AIMIA joint venture Think Big Digital has appointed a new chief executive.
Datuk Eddy Leong is now at the helm of the organisation which operates the Air Asia BIG Loyalty Programme.
Chairman and director, Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, said: “With a career that spans across both airline and hospitality, we believe that Eddy’s expertise is exactly what we need to catapult the AirAsia BIG Loyalty Programme into its next stage of expansion.
“We are excited to have him on board to further enhance the value proposition for our members and partners alike.”
After starting his career with Arthur Andersen & Co, Leong spent several years in leadership positions in the aviation and hospitality industry with companies such as Berjaya Group of Companies, Destination Resorts and Hotels and Malaysia Airlines.
He was responsible for the setup, development and operation of Firefly Airline from its commencement in 2007 until 2011 and most recently acted as advisor to Philippines AirAsia.
Leong is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
