A new ‘My Trips’ feature delivers travellers relevant information about what to see and do in their destination when booking with Hostelworld.

A partnership with travel planning app and website Gogobot will see Hostelworld customers receive recommendations of local things to do and places to eat.

Gogobot will initially support 22 major cities including London, New York and San Francisco with a view to expand the offering over the coming months.

The experiences have been tailored to Hostelworld customers by tapping into the best recommendations from relevant Gogobot users including adventure travellers, backpackers, budget travellers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Hostelworld’s head of product, Breffni Horgan, said: “Our customers are highly mobile, and look for experiences not souvenirs; they’re also very sociable, want to live as locals do and meet the world. We’re confident this new feature will help them do just that.”

Gogobot business development vice president, Gil Harel, said:

“We’re excited that millions of Hostelworld travelers will now have access to personalized recommendations, powered by the Gogobot community, on what to see and where to eat in major cities around the world.

“We know how important it is for Hostelworld to create an awesome, custom app experience for its app users and we’re thrilled that Hostelworld selected Gogobot because of the bespoke recommendations our millennial members share with each other via Gogobot’s 19 unique tribes.”
