SilverRail teams up with meta-search website Wanderu

Rail search and booking technology specialist SilverRail Technologies has partnered with ground travel meta-search website Wanderu. Wanderu’s website and mobile app allows users to find and book deals on bus and train travel throughout North America.

Wanderu’s website and mobile app allows users to find and book deals on bus and train travel throughout North America.

This partnership enables Wanderu to extend its service across Canada to include rail bookings as its customers are able to book VIA Rail (Canada’s national rail passenger service) tickets by deep linking into Via Rail Canada’s website by integrating the SilverCore API.

Cameron Jones, chief commercial officer at SilverRail, said: “This partnership highlights the importance of rail in end-to-end journeys.

“Trip planning is just not complete if travellers have not been presented with all of the available travel options.

“We’re thrilled that by connecting to our simple unified global rail API, Wanderu can now add VIA Rail as well as having the option to add all of our other connecting rail content going forward, which includes Germany, Spain, Sweden, US, UK, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg.”
