ADARA strengthens European team as it targets growth outside of the US

Global travel data marketing platform ADARA has strengthened its European team as it targets growth outside of its US homeland.

The Mountain View-based firm has taken on four new senior marketing professionals with responsibility for its key European markets of the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Belgium.

Sara Pastor has joined from LivingSocial to lead the European Team from ADARA’s Barcelona office, as commercial director for Europe.

She brings over 10 years’ travel industry experience in technology, e-commerce and advertising at Travelzoo, ASAP Worldwide, Cisco Systems and, most recently, LivingSocial where she led teams in Europe and Miami and managed Global Strategic Accounts.

Joining Pastor are Larissa Lampe and Maxime Terpman as commercial directors of Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH), France and Belgium, respectively.

Lampe has held roles at Yahoo!, TGlobal, Turismo and Nestle before joining travel search engine Kayak as sales manager for DACH.

Terpman began his career in risk management, and brings with him a wealth of programmatic knowledge following three years as sales and business development manager at RadiumOne in Paris.

In the UK Steve Hawker has joined as marketing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific based in London.

He replaces David Morrow who has been promoted to vice president, global marketing at ADARA’s Mountain View, California global headquarters.

Previously, Hawker was Amobee’s head of marketing for EMEA and The Guardian’s trade marketing manager, as well as holding sales and marketing positions at Primesight and River Publishing.

Pastor said: “I am excited to join ADARA at this time of rapid growth in Europe and look forward to leveraging my experience to help brands better leverage data driven communications powered by the world’s best travel data.

“We are seeing great demand for marketing solutions fueled by first party intent data from major businesses in the region. I will be working with the team to deliver strategic long-term partnerships that turn big data into business results for the European market.”
