Minicabit reveals Heathrow premium cab service

A premium transport service enabling passengers to compare and book journeys in a range of luxury vehicles across the UK is to be provided at Heathrow.

A premium transport service enabling passengers to compare and book journeys in a range of luxury vehicles across the UK is to be provided at Heathrow.

Online minicab booking service, minicabit, has created the ‘chauffeurit’ option in response to increasing demand from business clients.

Customers can select from executive cars such as the Mercedes S class, as well as a range of zero emissions vehicles including Teslas. Rolls Royce and stretch limousines are also available.

The addition of chauffeurit helps the airport enhance its services to private, business and high-net worth clients enabling them to travel in style and comfort, to and from anywhere in the UK and the airport.

It follows the introduction of minicabit’s cab comparison and booking service on Heathrow’s website.

The service can be accessed through the dedicated ‘chauffeurit.com’ website as well as through a white label service on the Heathrow site.

This forms part of a wider strategy by minicabit to extend its platform and business model into further high growth sectors in the online travel space.

It was driven by recent fundraising where the firm secured backing from influential UK investors and leading British business figures.

Head of partnerships, Carl Cromie, said: “Until now, the online travel space has lacked a single UK-wide service through which to offer the online innovations seen in the cab sector.

“Chauffeurit’s platform enables major travel brands like Heathrow to easily offer online premium car bookings for business and leisure travellers.”

The airport’s commercial passenger services director, Chris Annetts, added: “Offering a variety of premium vehicles means passengers can choose to indulge in a little bit of luxury and a comfortable journey from the minute they leave their front door until they arrive at their destination.”
