Cruise specialist Planet Cruise has rolled-out Dolphin Dynamics’s technology to support the launch of its new tailor-made brand Planet Journeys.

The new website extends Planet Cruise’s traditional offering with accommodation, transfers, tours, activity and attraction components.

Private itineraries and holidays for groups and individuals are available to Far East destinations including Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Singapore and Hong Kong.

The Dolphin system will provide an integrated selling platform with links into flight suppliers and several third-party accommodation and car-rental wholesalers enabling Planet Journeys’ sales consultants to create complex, bespoke itineraries.

Planet Cruise’s in house IT team have integrated the Dolphin platform with their own mid and back office, using Dolphin’s xml web services.

Laura Ingeri, head of long haul holidays at Planet Journeys, said: “To support the launch of the Planet Journeys brand, we required a highly flexible technology platform to help us efficiently manage and sell more complex, tailor-made itineraries.

“By helping us to streamline the sales process Dolphin enables our consultants to focus on providing our customers with the expert advice they require whilst delivering a high-quality service.”

Andy Mills, head of sales and marketing at Dolphin Dynamics, added: “We’re very pleased to be partnering with Planet Cruise as they launch this exciting new travel brand.

“Dolphin is uniquely suited to travel companies that frequently combine multiple travel products from various sources, including their own directly contracted products, within a bespoke holiday offering.”
