US domestic budget carrier JetBlue has launched a new iPad app with help from Possible Mobile.

The new app offers several features designed to make travel more convenient, including 100% native booking in the place of web booking.

It is designed to save users’ last seven searches for quick results and integrates with other areas within the app so users can take advantage of the feature without creating an account.

“This iPad app is a major milestone on the technical roadmap as we head into a very exciting 2016,” said Ben Reubenstein, Possible Mobile chief executive.

The firm also added enhancements to the app’s check-in flow, enabling users to make updates to their reservation on their iPad, which would have previously required communication with a staff member at the airport.

These include changing or upgrading seats, cancelling check-in if the user needs to re-book, paying baggage fees and a scan functionality so users can scan passports and credit cards with their iPad camera.

“Our friendly crewmembers have always made JetBlue stand out from every other airline, and we recognize that customers today want the same great experience when they interact with our technology,” said Maryssa Miller, JetBlue director, digital and consumer products.

“Possible Mobile has really helped us express that unique JetBlue experience with this enhanced suite of mobile apps, reflecting the care and attention to detail customers expect of us.”
