A former Microsoft executive has joined Teletext Holidays as customer and marketing director. Arpit Gupta was responsible at Microsoft for the global marketing of Skype and was a member of the team which developed and launched the first Windows phone.

Arpit Gupta was responsible at Microsoft for the global marketing of Skype and was a member of the team which developed and launched the first Windows phone.

Gupta will oversee the “complete customer journey” at Teletext Holidays and expand the brand and its marketing across digital and mobile channels.

Gupta said: “The way travel is evolving with the mobile technology industry is very exciting and it’s a good time to be involved with such an iconic, well-established British business.

“Teletext Holidays is a brand with great heritage which has been at the forefront of its industry for over 20 years.

“With a continued focus on increasing brand awareness and embracing new technologies I am excited to be part of this growth story.”
