UK tour operator Hoseasons has installed a new search and booking system on its website to coincide with its expansion into new European markets.
The operator has installed a Find and Book function developed by leisure technology company Multicom into its system as part of the overhaul, which will feature the ability to purchase tickets on low-cost airlines.
Users will be also able to book accommodation in Europe with the new system, plus operators in Hoseasons’ call centres will use the Find and Book facility to add customers into the company’s reservation system.
Hoseasons’ chief executive Richard Carrick added: “Customers traditionally would have booked a ferry and jumped in the car but now the low-cost airlines provide a cost effective alternative for customers who prefer not to spend one or two days driving to their destination in mainland Europe.
“It makes a family football holiday to Germany in June both easily affordable and easy to book online.”
Hoseasons recently expanded its European portfolio to include new Scandinavian and Mediterranean destinations.
Multicom’s general manager Chris Nourse said: “The Find and Book system is ideal for Hoseasons which is making sure it retains its competitive edge by taking advantage of the trend in booking low-cost airlines.”
