A hospitality technology showcase is being incorporated into next month’s Travel Technology Europe show in London.

Up to 40 exhibitors specialising in distribution, hotel, in-room and marketing technology for the accommodation sector have signed up to attend.

The showcase includes a two-day conference for hoteliers and B&B owners.

Masterclasses, keynote speakers and expert advisors will discuss how to drive revenue through the latest tools dedicated to guest experience, operational management, attracting web traffic and converting online browsers to bookers.

The ‘Experience’ conference theatre at Travel Technology Europe will host sessions dedicated to innovation in hospitality technology, with business advice and insight from industry leaders.

These include:

•   Steve Barratt, technology project director at Mandarin Oriental, offering future-proofing tips on what hotel guests of tomorrow want including looking at how virtual reality and in-room technologies will revolutionise hospitality marketing

•   A masterclass session on TRevPar v RevPAR empowering visitors with invaluable insight into using technology to identify what extras which guests might be tempted to spend on to ultimately increase revenue without increasing costs

•   A hotel booking round table featuring Lennert de Jong from Citizen and Christopher Ulph from Sabre Hospitality Solutions debating trends and challenges around the booking journey

Event director, David Chapple said: “Addressing how to reduce business costs will always be a priority for any industry, and the diverse range of technology available in the hospitality sector means it can be a minefield when it comes to finding the right solution.

“The new hospitality tech showcase aims to not only demystify, but also to highlight to hotel and B&B owners how they can make more money from guests and understand what the future holds.”

He added: “Hoteliers and B&B owners looking to understand their routes to market, including how to maximise direct channels or harness OTAs, will find practical support to help them boost revenue at the hospitality tech showcase element of Travel Technology Europe this year.”

The event takes place Olympia Exhibition Centre in London on February 24-25.
