Leeds-based travel industry technology specialist Zolv has achieved Microsoft Gold Partner status.

The accolade is given to firms which have had its developers take Microsoft competency exams and through customer endorsements.

The Gold competency for application development takes Zolv, past winners at the Travolution Awards and Travel Weekly Globes, into the top 1% of Microsoft’s Partnership programme.

Gold competency partners must complete a number of technical exams, proving technical expertise, and ensure a certain level of staffing capacity in their chosen disciplines.

They are also required to submit customer references demonstrating their technological expertise in practice, along with a commitment to customer satisfaction and a history of consistent delivery of successful solutions.

Microsoft UK’s director of partner strategy and programmes, Janet Gibbons, said: “With a Gold competency, Zolv has made an investment in developing their capability to deliver an integrated and customised technology solution to support today’s customer demand.”

Zolv’s managing director, Olly Wenn, added: “Achieving the Gold competency this year demonstrates Zolv’s commitment to individual learning and development, but it is ultimately a result of the team’s hard work and thirst for developing their skills”.
