Innovation in Travel Globe award shortlist revealed
The shortlist has been announced for the Innovation in Travel Award at the 2016 Globe Travel Awards hosted by Travel Weekly, Travolution’s sister title.
The Globes are the biggest leisure awards in the travel industry, with more than 1,200 nominees and guests due to be packed into the Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Thursday, January 14.
One of a number of special awards, the Innovation in Travel honour is sponsored by Travelport and is presented to a company that has launched an innovation or development that has had a clear impact in the market, helping the company solve a problem, stand out from competitors or meet the needs of its target customers.
The shortlist for the 2016 Innovation in Travel Awards contains six differing busineses. They are:
• 3FOR
• Rooms XML Solutions
• Royal Caribbean International
• Etihad Airways
• Hotelbeds
• Imagine Cruising
The entries for the awards were assessed by an expert panel of judges from within the industry, and the winner will be announced at the star-studded ceremony in January.
