French deal kickstarts Multicom’s Europe plans

Multicom has announced a deal to make its FindandBook online booking system available across France as part of plans to offer the system across Europe

Multicom has announced a deal to make its FindandBook online booking system available across France as part of plans to offer the system across Europe.

The deal, which is with Paris-based tour operator system supplier and web technology specialist Advences, will see FAB including all its travel content such as low-cost flights and accommodation feeds available to agents and operators across France.

Multicom’s sales manager David Osborne said: “It’s a logical partnership. They are plugging in Multicom for the content and we will work jointly to develop the market.”

The initial phase of the deal will see the integration of the existing FAB system with low-cost flights and accommodation providers as well as the possibility of scheduled flights via Amadeus.

A second phase of integration will include Eurostar.

Osborne added that the idea was to use the deal as a stepping-stone to other markets and destinations while also giving its content suppliers access to new customers.

Lotfi Gabsi, chairman of Advences, said: “This deal with Multicom will allow us to develop the two companies’ strengths together, providing a wide range of on and offline agents and operators with a complete travel solution.”

Multicom has also signed a deal to provide a dynamic packaging facility for Sun Club International website.
