TripAdvisor’s first Apple TV app aims for inspiration

A TripAdvisor app for Apple TV has been introduced – the first time the travel reviews site has developed a customised app for television.

A TripAdvisor app for Apple TV has been introduced – the first time the travel reviews site has developed a customised app for television.

The Apple TV app highlights TripAdvisor content, such as photos of Travellers’ Choice destinations and points of interest.

The app displays photos in a slideshow format and offers one-swipe access to traveller insights, including reviews and ratings.

It is available in 21 languages and can be downloaded from the App Store.

Adam Medros, global product senior vice president of TripAdvisor, said: “Watching television is a visual experience and we believe our new app will be ‘travel eye-candy’ inspiring users to plan and book their next trip.”
