Travel software specialist peakwork has established a subsidiary in the US in addition to a new sales office in London to support European expansion.

The German company’s Player-Hub technology will be introduced from the Boston base on the American continent.

A sales team will initially start at the new Boston base, while a project team will support new customers.

Managing director Annika Kessel is also responsible for global business development and heads peakwork in the UK.

The growth plans come as former Tourico Holidays EMEA sales vice president is named as London-based sales director.

He will be responsible for international expansion of Player-Hub and build a new sales team.

Further worldwide subsidiaries and branches are under development to build on established markets in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Chief executive, Ralf Usbeck, said: “We already work closely with numerous US American companies such as Google, Sabre, TripAdvisor, Expedia, Kayak and Bonotel; further projects with customers in North and South America are in implementation.

“There are interested companies in Asia as well. The international expansion of the distribution network increases supply and sales volumes in the interests of our customers and partners.”

He added: “We are happy to have Fabrizio Melis on board with a strong international sales background and broad expertise in the travel technology industry.

“Our partners – providers and distributors – will benefit from the increasing travel offer and demand.”
