Luxury hotel review service Mr & Mrs Smith is to begin a major expansion of the business and overhaul of its online customer strategy with the inclusion of flight meta search.
Travolution can reveal that Mr & Mrs Smith will operate a Kayak white label for flight search within the next two weeks on the main website in the UK.
The move is part of a wider programme to launch the business online for the first time in the US. The US version of the site will also include Kayak search.
The company, which started as a high-end hotel guidebook publisher, will also apply for ABTA status in the coming weeks following confirmation of its first ATOL licence.
Director Tamara Herby Percy told Travolution the company could use the ATOL in the future to package its own trips for customers.
The company currently uses an external travel agency to create trips for customers via its call centre.
The inclusion of flight meta search with Kayak and the imminent launch in the US follows the recent launch of its loyalty programme, The Vault, and customer reviews against hotel properties.
The web-based system allows members to accrue points if they post a review. Points can be redeemed against luxury goods such as fashion items, accessories and travel-related goods.
