Car hire operator Europcar will showcase new technology at World Travel Market whereby customers can book, unlock and drive their hire car using their smartphone.
Europcar has been named the official mobility partner at WTM and is providing a range of travel services and special offers for exhibitors and visitors.
ToMyCar means Europcar customers no longer need to visit the counter, meaning they can be on the road within a matter of minutes.
Available from the Europcar Mobility Centre at London ExCeL – where WTM is being held – as well as Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh airports, customers can book their vehicle online.
Once the reservation is made, travellers receive a confirmation email, plus an email with a link to download the ToMyCar app for their mobile device, along with their login and passwords.
The app provides a map highlighting the pick-up location of the vehicle. They are then able to access their vehicle using their downloaded key via their smartphone.
Any vehicle damage can be recorded by the customer and reported via the ToMyCar app, before the customer begins their journey.

Europcar is offering 25% off ToMyCar bookings made at europcar.co.uk/tomycar before the end of 2015 for vehicle hire before the end of 2016.
