Qatar Airways has partnered with sister companies Booking.com and Rentalcars.com to give its passengers access to their systems when booking flights via the airline’s website.
The carrier’s chief commercial officer, Hugh Dunleavy, said: “We look forward to the new partnerships being taken advantage of as our passengers can now benefit from having easy access to a wider selection of places to stay and car rental options from the moment they log on to the Qatar Airways website.
“This is a great opportunity for us to offer new ancillary products to our worldwide customers, enabling Qatar Airways to take our award-winning service to a new level.”
Qatar Airways has a new customer-focused, interactive website. In addition to updating themselves on their current flight status, passengers can select additional services from the various offers Qatar Airways has with hotel and car partners and can book a holiday package.
Bryan Batista, head of strategic partnerships at Booking.com, added: “We are always interested in pursuing partnerships with other like-minded companies that can meaningfully contribute to our global mission of connecting people with incredible travel experiences.”
Ady Guthrie, global director of Rentalcars Connect, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Qatar Airways and offer their passengers a simple, transparent and affordable way to experience car rental.
“We are eager to add value to their seamless customer journey by creating more opportunities to travel further.
“Together with Booking.com we can provide a unique, conversion driven accommodation and car rental integration that will maximise Qatar Airways ancillary revenues.”
The carrier’s Frequent Flyer Programme Privilege Club members can also earn Qmiles for every hotel room and car rental booking made through the website.
