Peer-to-peer foreign exchange start-up WeSwap has announced new partnerships with the likes of Hotels.com and Orbitz.

The firm claims that following an advertising campaign on London’s tube network this summer, along with a social media drive, it has seen rapid growth in its customer base.

WeSwap now plans to expand into European markets over the next year.

Rob Stross, sales and marketing director, said: “On the back of the summer marketing activity we are really starting to see partnerships work for both parties – we have recently signed partnerships with a number of high profile travel brands including Hotels.com and Orbitz.

“Partners are starting to see the value of WeSwap in a number of ways – either to generate revenue or improve onsite conversion.

“We have the flexibility to tailor the partner offering to match the needs.

“The fact we have a fantastic product with unbeatable exchange rates and can offer this to our partners in a variety of forms is really exciting for both us and them.”

Since securing £4.5million in a round of private fundraising in October 2014, WeSwap broadened its user base through a further 18 partnerships across travel, student and telecoms businesses.
