HotelTonight adds Dubai to it’s destinations

Mobile-only last minute hotel room booking app HotelTonight has extended its reach by launching in Dubai.

Rooms will start at £50 as hotels look to fill unsold capacity.

The emirate has 65,000 hotel rooms but one in every four is unoccupied every night on average, according to the company.

HotelTonight sees its presence in the region as a “huge opportunity” for hotels to market and sell unoccupied rooms.

Hotels committed to working with the company in Dubai include properties from international chains as well as independent properties.

While initial marketing efforts will focus on promoting HotelTonight’s curated collection of hotels in Dubai, a number of properties in other parts of the UAE will also make their rooms available on the platform. This portfolio of properties will be developed and expanded over time.

The move into Dubai follows expansion into Russia and Australia earlier this year, bringing the number of countries where consumers can use HotelTonight to 35.
