An enhanced version of the Traveltek iTour tour operation technology suite has started replacing legacy systems.
Belleair Holidays and Cyplon Holidays are now using iTour, having moved away from legacy systems when they identified the distribution opportunities of the Traveltek travel agency user base.
This includes Hays Travel, Barrhead Travel, Midcounties Co-op, Dawson & Sanderson, Freedom Travel Group and Global Travel Group.
Traveltek global sales director, Peter Whittle, said: “We continue to see leading niche tour operators move away from their legacy systems onto our platform as we offer the best of all worlds – handling hotel, flight, transfer and events contracts, availability and pricing; allowing established tour operators or innovative travel agents to sell them as individual components or complete packages combined with other third party products.
“By the same token we are seeing these same independent agents entering the tour operation model by utlising the same technology, blurring the line between tour operator and high street or online agency.”
Belleair Holidays director, Dave Green, said: “It made perfect sense to move to the Traveltek platform, with their combination of industry leading land and cruise-based own stock management and dynamic packaging technology, along with the clear distribution opportunities to retailers in the UK and further afield in international markets.”
